Hey everyone..
Just wanted to let everyone know that i'm not gonna be around much for awhile....I will be turning my alerts off for the time being...and will catch up in time.
My aunt who has cancer decided friday to quit taking chemo...she has been fighting this battle for a long time and is tired of being sick and suffering so much...her Dr. said her cancer is a really aggressive one...and he stood behind her on her decision....she said it was a very hard decision... Her daughter whom is 14yrs old...said she doesn't want to see her suffering anymore....but what 14yr old kid would want to see their mother go through that and be in so much pain all the time. We are all having a very hard time dealing with this, because our family has never been through it before... I mean my grandma has passed without warning...with my aunt we have time to prepare and know it's coming...but that doesn't make it any easier. My aunt is like a 2nd mom to me as i have said in the past...and also like a sister ..I grew up with her, I hope she knows how much she means to me. I went there saturday and spent about 6 hours with her...
Then monday...she had a Dr's appt. and they decided to go ahead and call Hospice in...where the nurses come and help out ..Jeff and I went out there after work for a few hours... In some sense my aunt seems relieved...she is planning everything just as she wishes for the funeral and such...it's hard even typing this..UGH!
Jeff is having a really hard time with it, because his dad passed away from cancer...he had to get up and walk outside monday night...i just went out there and hugged him and cried too. All my family who was there said the rosary(prayers) with my aunt...and she was stroking her daughters hair..and forehead...while we were praying...and it took all that i had to keep from breaking down right then and there... Knowing she will never get to see her daughter graduate, go out on dates, walk down the aisle....having babies..etc.. Life just isn't fair.... I don't understand why things happen the way they do sometimes...
Anyways...please keep my aunt in your thoughts and prayers...and know that i will miss you all while i am gone... I just need to focus all my time on my family right now.
I shall return in the future...I sure hope i don't lose too many of my readers...but if so i understand....
Until next time..
Hugss..~Terri~
Terri- will keep your Aunt, you & your family in our prayers. I hope you cann continue to be there for your cousin. She is surely going to need you. Take good care. Barb
ReplyDeleteAll of you will be in my prayers. I also lost my mother to cancer. It is a bad thing. So sorry for her daughter. May your aunt be at peace and be pain free. Helen
ReplyDeleteGirl, you won't loose me as a reader. Friends don't ditch each other when things get bad. I love you and I know you are hurting. My heart goes out to you and your family. Somewhere though in all of this entry, I felt a bit of peace. Maybe I am mistaken. I hope for the best and God's will in this. If God's will is to take her home, then may it be peaceful. If God's will is to test and heal her, may it be swift and easy. Hugs, Brandie
ReplyDeleteTerri I am so sorry about everything. Lots of love and hugs. Lots of prayers. I know this must be a really hard time for you and your family. Please take your time, I will always be around if you need anything!!! XOOXO

ReplyDelete(((Awww Terri)))
ReplyDeleteI will be here waiting for you to come back. I know what your family is going through. We have experienced it also in these past few years with some of our close family members. I am here if you need to talk... You are right, even if you know it is going to happen, it doesn't make it any easier.
(((HUGS TO ALL OF YOUR FAMILY)))

Wishing your family some comfort in this time of grief. (((HUGS)))

Oh no. Oh Terri. I'm so very, very sorry. Words just aren't expressive enough at a time like this. Wish I could give you a big hug instead.
ReplyDeleteAs sad as it is to lose our beloved family...sometimes it's a blessing too. Living in chronic, horrific pain isn't any way to live. And it sounds as if your aunt it ready...in every sense of the word.
When I read about her 14 year old daughter...that bothered me the most. Because you're right...she won't get to be a part of her daughter blossoming into adulthood. But remember, Terri...once she passes on...she'll still be with you. You'll carry a piece of her in your heart...as will her daughter.
I'll pray for you and your family during this difficult time...and I hope you do eventually come back to us. We offer an awfully good support system you know! ::small smile:: Take all the time you need though. We certainly understand.
Love you,
bridgett
p.s. I'm so sorry...
So sorry to read, Terri.
ReplyDeleteTake all the time you need.

I'm willing to bet every single one of us will be here waiting for you to return. Your not losing anyone!
ReplyDeleteI usually have some words of comfort for entries like this but today I am speechless....... truly saddened by this news.
When Hospice comes in you realize it's really happening. Terri, I'm so sorry. Please know that we are praying for you, your aunt and your family.
~ Jenny
ps. If you can check in and let us know how you are holding up....
Terri...absoultely...I will keep her in my prayers... I feel like that sometimes..because my little brother is in IRAQ and we havent heard from him in about 2 months...so I've been worried sick....take care and live life to the fullest...Andrew D.E.
ReplyDeleteHugs and prayers for your whole family, Terri. Even though you expect it, it's still not any easier and a 14 yr old daughter....just so sad. Take care and know that God is holding your family in His hands and has a plan. He will get you all through this somehow. Hang in there....Chris
