Hey everyone...
Just checkin in with you all to let you know i'm still around from time to time... I know i haven't been updating that often and i'm sorry...life is just hectic right now...and I know you guys understand..and know i still think about ya'll often!
Jeff and I went to my aunts yesterday...she isn't doing very good at all...she is barely alert..and as of yesterday she is refusing to take her meds by mouth...sooner or later i fear she will refuse them period, they talked to the Dr. and he said something about trying the morphine patch...not sure what they are gonna do just yet.... She told my other aunt yesterday " I thought that was it this morning"...and my other aunt said.."why are you giving up?".....and my aunt whispered no.... She just looks so little and frail... She wasn't wanting to eat or drink much at all this past week...she has been nauseated alot. We're just taking it day by day...thats all we can do. The whole time we were there yesterday she slept...when we were leaving i held her hand and told her we were leaving and said I love you....and she whispered I love you too =(
Today we went to my brotherinlaws...for my nephews 14th birthday dinner... We had BBQ chicken, fried chicken, roasted chicken and shake and bake chicken...tater salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, peas, mashed taters...and salad....it was yummy... Then we had ice cream cake and cupcakes... We had a really good time....we gave him a gift certificate for Itunes...for his ipod.
Anyone been watching Dancing with the Stars.?
Tonight is the final night....can't wait!
I hope Drew Lachey and Cheryl win...they have done wonderful...and they won me over thursday night when they danced to Save a horse ride a cowboy....it was awesome!
Well i hope ya'll had a good weekend...I am dreading tomorrow already.. BLAH...who wants to go back to work...not me....lol

ReplyDeleteI'm so, so sorry to hear your aunt is doing so poorly. I know it's not easy watching a family member waste away right in front of you...but her family seems to be hugely supportive. That's so important.
And how wonderful that she was aware enough to tell you she loved you too...a sweet moment, and oh-so-poignant.

ReplyDeleteIf I remember correctly your aunt was doing good there for a while, so this is really sad news. She and your family will remain in my prayers. I'm glad she was atleast able to say "I Love You Too" I hope you remember that moment....
