We've asked for rain desperately for the last month or so.... and boy did we get it...and are expected to get more...all next week!
Friday it stormed the early part of the day.....yesterday afternoon and evening it stormed again.... We went out to my best friends house to hangout last night....on the way there we saw trees down and everything....it got pretty bad. We stayed there until 2am this morning....on the way home it was pissin and pourin.... I hateeee driving when it's raining that hard, I almost had to pull over.... it rained all night pretty much.....
You will never believe what time i woke up today....I about shit, Jeff came in the bedroom putting something away in his closet, I rolled over and asked him what time it was.... He said 1pm.... I said WHATTT!
I said why did ya let me sleep so late....lol We didn't get into bed till about 2:30am.... but my goodness i never thought i would sleep the day away! Oh well, I guess between being sick this week, and staying out all night i needed the rest =)
Good thing i didn't schedule a vacation for this week, it's gonna be nasty from the looks of the forecast...but we've needed this rain, so i ain't complaining. Well okay maybe a little, cause the Lawn Care Business will be lacking some this week...but when it rains the grass grows....and like Jeff said last night when it was pouring..... "I smell money".....hahaha
We didn't work in our landscaping because of the rain, instead i started going through closets and drawers trying to sort through everything , i'm having a garage sale in August....I boxed up all our winter clothes to put away in the attic as well.... I've needed to organize for a while now....I plan on getting rid of alot of crap, i've been keeping around for some unknown reason.... Jeff says I am a packrat....haha Having a garage sale is a job going through everything, pricing everything...etc.... but hopefully it will be a good turn out.... my aunt and cousins are putting things in it too.
Anyways I'm just babbling....so i better get goin....

ReplyDeleteWe need rain too but I do not want storms either! I am saving money on not having to get my grass cut. Danny would not like it...he use to make extra money cutting the neighbor's grass.

We will also be getting rain everyday this week. Isn't it funny how we ask for rain and then when it comes we sometimes complain. We really do need the rain though.....

Now you know why I've been saying I'm so sick of the rain. We've had those kind of forcasts for the past two months...very seriously!!! It's sucked soooo bad! But you're right, the grass does grow like mad when it rains. :)

ReplyDeletethe kids still go out to plaay its just in between the rain storms, The temps have been so mild. windows open. and OMG the grass is cut, don't get any better than that....

I'm a packrat myself. We are in the process of cleaning the basement and we are going to have a yard sale also. It is a lot of work. Hauling all the stuff out there. And then if it doesn't sell what then? My hubby packs it all up and puts it back in the basement..ugg. Yeah I'd say we are definetly pack rats! lol

ReplyDeleteLOL...we've had rain for three days. Dang, our grass is still browned out in the front but my pool and pond got filled up without the hose. I'm also a packrat and have to literally force myself to throw things out or my BF will come over and do it for me. I'm just too lazy for a yard sale. I did those years ago.
