Dusting off the pages of my life....cobwebs sure are thick in here..haha

Summer is nearly over.....and Autumn/Fall is just around the bend...some of the leaves are already falling to the ground....

Seems the summer went by so quickly this year....but time itself seems to be going by quickly year-round anymore it seems....

I love Summer but I love Fall just as much...

Yesterday Jeff was on a farm call and the old farmer had a huge field full of watermelons....Jeff asked him what he would want for one because his wife loves watermelon ....he said nothing at all....and the old farmer went and picked me out a huge watermelon....he said they are really sweet this year....said he was fixing to plow the field....deer was eating most of the watermelons.....I cannot wait to cut into it YUM!

Jeff went to the eye doctor yesterday and is getting glasses....he was suppose to be wearing glasses since he was around 7yrs old....but quit wearing them in school after being called 4 eyes and such....lol  Poor thang....but he really needs them....especially for reading....he looks really cute in them =)  He will get his pair in a week or so....I need to have an eye exam as well ...I can't tell you the last time I had one...don't know if I ever had a professional eye exam....I know in school we would read the chart....and always did well...so I assume my vision was good back then....i still think I have pretty good eye sight but we get one free exam a year with my insurance....I have great vision insurance...Jeff's glasses would have been $340 but with my insurance they were only $90.....can't beat that.

I haven't been online much at all lately....I've been getting cozy on the couch in the afternoons and watching movies instead....just needed a break from the computer I suppose....

We watched Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon....and Mr. Brooks ....both really good movies....

I have a movie called Vacancy to watch...and one called For one more Day(by Mitch Albom...presented by Oprah)...I can't wait till Maid of Honor comes out on the 16th...it looks so good.

Took a vacation day friday....and hungout with my best friend for awhile....we went to some garage sales and went to New China for lunch....so I've had a 3 day weekend....I used my Labor Day holiday...because I worked on Labor Day...when we work a holiday we get time and a half and also get an 8hr vacation day/holiday to take whenever....and I only had to work 4hrs on Labor Day....so it's all good!

My cousin Sarah had a baby girl this morning....not sure what she named her yet...but I know she weighed 7 lbs 1 oz...I believe....Congrats Sarah!!!  I'm gonna go see the baby tomorrow and take her a gift for the baby....

I guess thats all thats been going on around here....Hope all is well with you guys!

                            Until next time.....

*Thanks to Donna(This That and Hockey) for my cute taggie.....her link is in my sidebar......check it out!

  2. Missed you, but gosh it has seemed kind of dead around JLand lately...even myspace too.  I guess everyone is busy now that their kiddos are back to school and such.  I personally can't wait until Fall arrives!  The sooner the better!  But you're right, Summer did seem to fly by this year.  TTYS!!

  5. I love Autumn, it is my favorite time of the year.  The weather starts getting a chill, but sometimes not so much here in So Cal.  Bring on the holidays!  That watermelon sounds so delicious.  It's been a while since I have gone to a garage sale.  Maybe I will do it again soon if I can remember LOL.  Have a happy week.  Luv ya!

  7. I know.  I can't believe summer is over already.  It went by so fast.  It seems like the kids just got out of school.  They went back here last week.  I love watermelon too.  I just bough one at the store.  I love eating it all day long, but it must be really cold.  I tried to grow some this year.  That didnt work out to well.  They reached a certain point and then just stopped growing.  LOL  I guess I will try again next year.  I love fall though too.  Not to hot, not to cold.

    Have a great night :)

  10. hey terri1 I love watermelon!  saturday april, jason and i went to pavilion buffet. it was seafood night. in addition to the usual chinese fare they had boiled crablegs, fried crab mussels, oysters and all kinds of shrimp. i did not get any veggies or starches, just sea food. for dessert i had several slices of watermelon. you are right , they are sweet this year. i am glad you got a chance to enjoy one.
Congrats to you and your mom on the new baby in the family. i wonder what you picked for a gift.
i love buying baby gifts. sometimes i look at the baby clothes in the thrift store and they are so cute I buy them for my stuffed animals. my kids were ready to have me commited when i told them my d.j. doll said she was tired of her pink jumper and i bought her a new dress. then she said it to them and they said thats scary mom. lol

  15. I love watermelon and go through at least one a week. Boy, were you lucky!  Nice mini vacay you had.  I love fall but in a way hate it because it means winter is right around the bend.  Usually we have some really, really nice weather in the fall.  LOL...take a pic of Jeff in his glasses.  Bet he does look cute.  Love ya, Chris
