Hump day...

                       Happy Fall Ya'll

The 20th my grandma would have been 78yrs old..... Happy Birthday in Heaven grandma....we love and miss you dearly!!!!  She will be gone 10yrs in March....sometimes it seems so long ago....and other times seems as though it was yesterday......

Our family member "C" started treatments last week for leukemia....  Thank you all so much for the thoughts, prayers and good vibes....

Jeff went today and traded in his 60 inch zero turn mower for a 52 inch and a 36 inch zero turn..... I think he plans on putting me to work...haha   Nah, he was looking at a 54 inch zero and also a walk behind zero that has a platform you stand on and ride.....he brought them home and tried them out.....I told him he looked uncomfortable standing/riding on the walk behind mower....he had one once before and traded it in.... I told him I had a feeling he would trade this one in as well eventually....and told him I wish he would just get a small zero instead of the walk behind..... he needs a smaller one for the residential yards that have smaller gates the big zero can't fit through.... it saves him time....not having to push.  Also I like knowing that we do have two zero turn mowers for when I do help him....so we can get done in a timely manner....   the more time I have with hubby at home the better =)

I know he is glad this season is almost over, and I know I am as well....I will get to see him more often and he will be able to relax a little for a few months after work.....  the mowing part is almost over anyways....after all the leaves fall and are all mulched up and taken care of.....then the season will be over.....

I know I am boring all of you with our lawn care business....so i will move on....lol

I'm not sure our white dogwood will survive the big wind storm we had, Jeff had to trim it way back and cut some limbs completely off  ......I love that tree...it's been there for years.....we've been here 13 yrs....and it was full grown when we moved in....I really hate to lose it.... but now it looks all funky.....   if we have to cut it completely down, I would love to try to grow a pink one in the same place....but have heard they are hard to grow and keep alive at first..... I really like the cherry blossom trees too... not sure what we will do.....

I am taking a vacation day friday....I looked at the calendar at work for October and it was pretty much booked up.....we are only allowed to have 2 off at a time on vacation....so a couple weeks ago....I wrote off for friday.....don't have any plans....just gonna relax and enjoy a nice 3 day weekend..... I do have a movie coming from netflix tomorrow called Reservation Road....with Mark Ruffalo that looks really good....so I will watch that while I am off.....

My MIL and her sister and her SIL all went on a trip to Niagara(sp?) Falls this week....they left monday and will be back friday.....I bet they are having a ball.....Jeff is going up to her house to feed the cat and her mama duck.....she raised a boy and girl duck from babies and now they are grown and spoiled rotten....she just loves them and they love her....anyway the daddy duck died last week...they believe a dog attacked him....my MIL was so upset she cried.....she spoils them rotten....even has a kiddie pool and everything ...when the water was dirty....she would have to change it for them, otherwise they wouldn't get in.....it was too funny....

I really guess that is all that is going on in my neck of the woods....hope all is well with ya'll

                                Until next time.....

  1. That makes me sad about the duckies. : (  There is something about ducks that I really enjoy.  I like peguins as well, I guess I'm just a bird chick.  LOL  Enjoy that three day weekend you have coming up. Luv ya!

  5. How neat to have a duck.  Sorry to hear about the duck dying :(

I always thing it is neat when you see pictures of a duck family and all the baby ducks are following the mom.  Too cute.

I cant believe summer is over.  At least you will get to see your hubby more.

Fall is nice to though........all the leaves turning colors but then u realize winter is just around the corner!

    Have a great night,

    Ann

  6. Not to be too nosey, but doesn't Jeff miss out on pay when he doesn't work in the winter months?  How does that work?  Does your job cover the bills and such?  Or does he work it out w/ his customers to be paid year round no matter what?

That's funny about the ducks.  We've had ducks a couple times, and they follow you around when they're babies, like you're the momma.  :)  It's cute.
