Last sunday afternoon we attended my nephew Jacob's 6th Birthday Party at my sisters house....we had a really good time. Pretty much everyone was there except for my stepdad Gary..as he was sick. It was a beautiful sunny day...with temps in the 80's....the kids played and played ...we all sat outside for the whole party....it was too nice to be indoors. I think I got some great pics...hope you enjoy them.
Monday morning my sister began her chemo treatments....other than being there the whole entire day, she did well. Thanks so much for all the thoughts, prayers, healing thoughts...it means so much to us! Marisa is now starting to feel some of the affects chemo has on patients....but she is so strong and determined and has still been going to work. She is a FIGHTER that is for sure! Please keep those healing thoughts and prayers coming....she will need them....thanks so much!
I've been sick all week....I really hadn't felt good since Labor day...so monday I went to the Dr. they told me I had an upper respiratory infection and put me on meds.... I told the Dr. more than anything I needed something for nausea.... did he listen, nope.... So i bought some emetrol for nausea to take with the meds they prescribed me. As the week went on I felt worse than I did when I went to the Dr....the meds had givin me the backdoor trots(TMI, I know..LOL) so nausea, diarrhea, fatigue, body aches...yeah I just felt plain awful! Yesterday I stopped taking the meds the Dr. gave me....and surprisingly started feeling better....I needed rest more than anything...but went to work everday....
My cousin asked me to go to a neighborhood garage sale this morning....she asked last night but told her no...I think I would rather sleep in , the way I have felt this week......ya know I have felt bad when I turn down garage sales....LOL
I slept 11 hours last night...and feel so much better! Being sick sucks the life right out of ya.....ahhhhh I so needed that rest.
Jeff and I are talking about going fishing this afternoon if it doesn't rain....I hope so...haven't been in several weeks...

So glad you are feeling better. Aside from feeling like I have been run over by a truck cause I shampooed my carpet yesterday I have stayed fairly healthy. Hope your mom stays well.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sending the pics to me in email. I still can't see anything but the captions here. Oh well, I'm glad other folks can see them. We did have a good time at the party. Jacob broke his glasses at school this week, that makes the second pair since he started wearing them.

I'm sorry you've been feeling lousy. Unfortunately, most of what doctor's prescribe make you feel worse. I can't remember the last time I went to the doc for anything other than routine check-ups.

I have been down the cemo road and Jim had 56 radiation treatments and 4 cemo. It is not an easy road to travel. One day you are on a mountain and next day in the valley. We will pray for you and the family When cancer is involved it is not easy. Take care.
