Wonderful day indeed...

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving

I had a wonderful day..I woke up at 7:30am..hopped in the shower...was fixing to get ready...and thought there is no way i can go throughout this Thanksgiving Day not seeing my Grandad...i have never not been there on this day in the last 32yrs.  And my grandad has been sorta down lately missing my grandma who has been gone 7yrs. now...and their 52nd wedding anniversary was the 20th...not to mention missing his daughter who just passed away in march(my aunt Judy)...and that just made me even more sad...so i started tearing up and i told Jeff there is no way i can go without seeing him on Thanksgiving...so Jeff said..well let's just go up there and visit then...since your whole family isn't getting together this year...no reason we can't visit. So thats what we did...we had a great time..just sitting and visiting today...I love my grandad so much...and he seemed to be in good spirits today...which is great!  Before we went out there...we met Jeff's mom and his uncle Johnny(whom she cares for, he has down syndrome)...and my SIL and her daughter at Cracker Barrel for breakfast...it was really good...we sat there for a good hour and a half eating and talking...we surprised them i got the bill...they kept demanding they were gonna pay...but we got it...we had 6 of us and it was only $38..not bad at all.  Then we headed to walmart and looked around a bit...Jeff got me a 4 cd set of Ultimate 80's music...it has so many good songs on it...i love it...it was only $9.98....

We decided we're having christmas with my whole family on the 17th of Dec. the weekend before christmas...that way christmas weekend everyone can be with their families..or go to inlaws or whatever. I can't wait....i love when my whole family gets together...Good Times!

Before we came home from my grandads i asked Jeff to go by the cemetary...i hadn't been there since March when my aunt passed away...i kept putting it off....but today we went and i was stronger than i thought i was and handled it okay...i visited her and my grandma... Someone put a Solar light on a stick beside my aunts headstone...it's really nice...i would love to put one beside my grandmas...i'm gonna have to ask who put it there and where they got it.  I miss them both so much!!!!

Well it's 10pm and i have to work in the morning...be careful all you black friday shoppers...it's gonna be crazy out there tomorrow...but boy do they have some deals...if i was off i would be right in the middle of the madness too..lol  My SIL is going to Best Buy at 3:30am..to stand out there in order to get a number...to be in line for the laptop thats on sale...reg. $600-700...for $250....damn i'd like to have one too!   Happy Shopping everyone!

  9. I'm glad you got the chance to visit both your grandfather.. and your Aunt Judy's gravesite.  I know how much you miss her, Terri..   I'm relieved to hear that you handled it okay, and that it didn't cause you to be depressed all day.   It just proves that God is working.  He is healing your heart.  You will never forget.. of course not.. but it won't always hurt as badly as it did.

    Hugs

  10. I want a laptop but not bad enough to wait in line in the cold at 3:30 a.m.!  I am lazy like that.  LOL!  So happy you were able to spend some time with your grandfather!  I bet he really loved that you took the time to go and visit him.  Hope you made it through working today!
    Hugs and love,

  11. UGH crazyness today but I only went to one popular place and yep it was packed.  NOPE I didn't buy anything. My Mom came down to visit for a few hours and she and I went out together.  I love shopping with my Mom!
Terri it's very hard to miss people at holidays, I am sorry!  I made a picture of Sammy and Steve's Dad (who passed in 2001) together side by side for each of his sisters and neice.  They all loved it.  We Miss Leonard, I understand.  HUGS XOOXOOX

  12. As a previous retail worker I have to say that Black Friday is the worst day ever!!!  LOL.  But you're right, there are some great deals to have...if you have the time to get up at the crack of dawn to go wait in lines a mile long.  LOL.  :)  Glad you had an awesome day w/ your family!

  16. Terri, that was so nice that you got to visit your granddad.  Best it made his day also.  I think your Christmas plans are an excellent idea.  That had to be hard to visit your Aunt Judy's gave but how sweet that some put a solar light stick there.  Love ya, Chris
