In memory of....Jeff Healey

Angeleyes <~~Click to watch video

Jeff Healey passed away at the young age of 41yrs old from cancer....read about it here

He left behind 2 children ages 13 and 3...so very sad...Angel Eyes was my favorite song of his  ~ Rest in Peace Jeff ~

Tomorrow my Aunt Judy will be celebrating her 46th Birthday in Heaven...she was buried on her birthday 2yrs ago...it's just not fair all that cancer does to our loved ones....and to those of us left behind when they are gone...the pain they endure throughout their cancer journey, the pain we as their family endure in watching them suffer...and the long lasting pain of losing them ....even after 2 yrs the emotions are still so raw...I relive it as if it was yesterday, every single minute i remember vividly...and more than likely always will...

Her daughter who is now 16 got her license...and has picked out her first prom dress to wear next month ..it just breaks my heart that Judy is not here to share in those special moments with her daughter...I just know on the day of Chelseys Prom she would have been right there snapping away on her camera...cherishing every moment.

Sorry just been missing her alot lately...

My grandad came over to visit with my aunt Linda sunday, grandad doesn't get out much...he stays close to home unless he has a Dr's appt. or something...so it really surprised me...he hadn't been to our house in 10-12yrs or so...when we first bought it.  The first person I thought about calling to tell that I had a surprise visit from grandad...was Judy...I had to stop a minute and face reality once more... I could no longer call her...I wanted to sit and just cry... even after 2yrs...the urge still lingers to pick up the phone and chit chat with her... but i can't

  1. Wow, so sad ... and that was a great song!

So sorry you are hurting.  Cancer is an ugly thing.  We just have to hold on to the fact that we will be reunited with our love ones again.

  6. That is just so sad...I'm so sorry that you are missing her so much yet.  I do understand wanting to pick up the phone and chat.  After years of my mom not being here with us I STILL feel that way.  I wonder if it ever goes away?!

  9. I lost my grandmother 9 years ago and I still think of her first when I have something to say.  We spoke every Sunday @ 10a!  Rick's roommate when we were dating will still say, "It's Nanny!" when the phone rings on a Sunday morning.  His wife told me that once not that long ago.  Her memories just bring a smile to my face!  I cannot tell you...  and tears, too, now, darn it!

  10. PLEASE know that my prayers will be with you  and Debbie and you family . I am sure you are afraid right now. I remember the day that my granson was rushed to children's hospital. he had seizures the whole way there and he was put into an induced coma.my daughter and son in law stood by the bed crying  afraid to touch him .his little tiny body shivered and he had tubes everywhere. he was 3 or 4 , hard to rember this for me. i walked next to him kissed him and held his precious hand. i told my junie and sascha to come kiss him and talk to him. they were still afraid. they had been told he had prob suffered severe brain damage because of the seizures. they walked to him in blind faith! i told them he would be fine. God had given me a feeling of peace as i drove over there! i could not explain it to them but they saw how calm i was and believed! Raphael is 12 now, he is so smart and can qoute scripture better than his old granny me! God responds to FAITH! I think you family is amzing! and the love you show each other is never LOST! NOT EVEN DEATH HAS THAT POWER.

  11. I read that about Jeff Healey and sometimes really have to wonder why the good die young.  I think it takes a long time to get over losing a loved one like your Aunt Judy.  Every milestone in her daughter's life will bring that back to you.  Big Hugs...Chris

  12. I think that it's been a blessing having Judy in your lives, and I'm certain that she was blessed with love in abundance within your family.  I know how it feels to have those raw feelings but in a sense it makes us human and reminds us how strong the bonds of love are.  I'm sure Judy will be watching over those good times...be sure to take lots of pictures :)
