Christmas with the Inlaws...

Hey everyone!!!

(Slideshow removed...for privacy purposes...I only wanted to leave it on here a few days so you all could see what a beautiful family I married into...Thanks for the wonderful comments)

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas ...I know I did...but my Christmas isn't over yet...I still have one Christmas gathering to attend at my moms this afternoon...I can't wait!

Last year we didn't have Christmas at my moms as a family, we had Christmas at my grandads though, but it really means alot to have Christmas at my moms as well...with our immediate family....

Mom really wasn't in the Christmas spirit last year...so this year I said Mom... "We're gonna have Christmas"....she said "Yes sir re" hahaha....

Last year not being able to see the kids faces light up when they opened their gifts was no fun at all.... Mom worries about not being able to get us(their adult kids) gifts....I told her don't worry about us...what means the most is getting together as a family for a meal....and just worry about getting the grandkids something...

This morning she said she had a request...that we bring Beau to the Christmas gathering...that was her gift to us... First of all her request almost made me pass out because Mom is not an animal lover whatsoever....I told her we appreciate the offer so much....but we will do it another time when she just has my nephew over and not ALL the little ones....we think it would be too much stress on Beau with little ones tugging and pulling and doing things little ones do to animals...lol He has been around kids a couple at a time...and is good with kids...but we have a couple little ones ...not even 2 and 3 yet...along with 2 other kids....so it just might be too much.... Chihuahua's get a little more nervous acting then some dogs when it comes to so much excitement.... Thank you so much Mom....you don't know what that offer means to us....cause like you said...Beau is our baby... hehehe :)

As you can see I made a slideshow with tons of Christmas pics from my Inlaws....we had a wonderful Christmas...we always get together on Christmas morning....my MIL fixes a nice big breakfast...with her ohhh so yummy quiche...it's a breakfast pie for anyone who doesn't know what quiche is... she makes one with eggs, cheese and ham...and one with eggs, cheese and sausage...not sure what else she puts in them....I've been meaning to get the recipe to try to fix some myself....they are delicious! We also had biscuits and gravy, bacon, fruit...juices...chocolate milk...etc...

I was so surprised at all the good family pics I got...especially of Jeff....as he hates his pic taken with a passion....he was totally letting me snap all the pics I wanted of him and his family....I love the silly poses too...we had a blast. I didn't get any of he and I together though...I will have to see if I can get one today.

Jeff got me a 12 inch digital picture frame...it is so awesome...you can put up to 3,000 pics on it with music and also videos...it can be mounted on the wall or can sit on a table...it even has a remote...he also gave me $100..... I gave him an Izod long sleeve shirt, 2 Chaps long sleeve shirts, a short sleeve shirt, Fossil wallet and keychain, Billy Idol greatest hits cd, 5x7 of me...haha...and some Armani cologne....I also got him his favorite pic of Beau in an 8x10 but it isn't here yet....

My MIL got Jeff 2 shirts, got me a little sewing kit in a quilted carring case( i told her now I need lessons on sewing..lol)...she got me a 2 bottle lotion set from Bath & Body, got us dishtowels and oven mitts...and a Shark steam cleaner for our floors...some locking lid containers...and also Cracker Barrel and Texas Roadhouse gift certificates....she got Beau a Pedipaws..that we've been wanting to trim his nails....

We got her a kitchen sink and faucet she had been wanting...we went in together with my BIL and SIL on that(that was the priceless pic in the slideshow)...she opened it and was so excited...she was gonna lift it up and it was so heavy as she was kneeling down....she laid on her back and it was on top of her...we laughed and laughed...we also got her 2 shirts and a food chopper....and got her a few cds from Beau..she buys him stuff all throughout the year...she spoils him as if he is one of the grandkids....but ya know...to our families he really is...lol

Jeffs aunt and uncle from Texas always send us gifts....Jeff got some Stetson Black cologne and I got a digital picture keychain....I can't wait to get it set up....they also got Beau a snowman toy from their cat Rosey.....they are so sweet! They always say how much they love Arby's so we got them an Arby's gift certificate they can use a few times....

I have been a shopping fool the last few days...you would think I wouldn't want to step foot in a shopping center or store after Christmas...but they are having some awesome sales right now....I got up yesterday morning and headed out to Walmart at 7am....and went to the Christmas section....I got gift bags, boxes, and all kinds of things for 50% off for next year...but the bargain I was excited about the most was the pre-lit Christmas wreaths I got for $5.....I bought 3....and Jeff and I went back last night and got a couple more....I also got 7 boxes of icicle lights to go on the house next Christmas for $3.45 a box....friday on the way home from work I stopped at the Dollar Store to see what they had left and I got a lighted snowman for $7.50 and also got a really cute santa for $5.....I can't wait to decorate next year now...haha I was bummed to see that Target, Walmart and everywhere were out of their prelit porch trees, lighted deer etc.....so I shopped online a little bit yesterday as well....and Target had some 4ft. prelit porch trees still in stock...and also some 3ft prelit trees for our landscaping next year....the 3ft trees come 3 in a set...and I bought 2 sets....the 4ft comes 2 in a set and I bought 2 sets....we can use either of them indoor/outdoor...which makes it all the better....the 3ft trees we will probably use in our front landscaping and 2 of the 4ft. porch trees on the porch....and then maybe the other 2 (4ft) trees we can decorate and use in the house.... so excited about that....we got all of those 50% off as well!

Well...I'm gonna try to get a little caught up in reading journals before I have to prepare my goodies to take to moms...and take a shower and get ready....

Can you believe 2009 is almost here!!!

Until next time....toodles

  6. Terri I am glad you had a Wonderful Christmas.
You sound like me after Christmas shopping I would always have a ball getting things 50% off.
I would shop until I would drop. Jack said I shopped like I was on a mission from God.

You are a thoughful young happy girl and I might
    say very beautiful.
