I had a night from hell last night...INSOMNIA! Mom are you trying to rub it off on me? haha kidding...I went to bed around 10:30pm...my neighbor kept their porch light on, which shines right in our bedroom window...on until midnight...I could not go to sleep for nothing with that light on...Jeff on the other hand was snoring away...then waking up and griping at me cause I was waking him up tossing and turning...haha About midnight he got up and went to the restroom...while he was gone the neighbor turned the light off....he came back to bed and said is that better I went over there and unscrewed it.... I said "Whatever, I guess you would go unscrew a HOT lightbulb"....lol He said "Okay, whatever"....I would have felt the cold air on him when he crawled back in bed...he's a goob!
You would have thought that I would have went to sleep after the light went off...but did I ? NOPE! I laid there thinking about how christmas is only 2 months from today...and I haven't even started my shopping yet....this time last year I had a good start on it....also laid there thinking about how tomorrow is my niece Ivy's 8th birthday party....and how I hadn't got her gift yet....damn am I a slacker or what? Guess I will give her money in a card...cause with the concert tonight I don't have time to go get something because i have to take a nap this afternoon otherwise I will be a basketcase with only 2 and a half hours sleep last night....yep thats right....I didn't dose off till 2:30am and had to be up for work this morning at 5am....thank goodness I only had to work 4 hours! Oh not to mention I also laid there thinking about that scary movie "The Strangers"....so when I did finally drift off to la la land....you guessed it...I had a bad dream....lol In the dream...this creepy man kept looking in my window and no matter how much I tried to ignore it and go to sleep everytime I would look at the crack in the curtain his eyeballs were there looking back at me....ackkkkkkk! I was sorta awake and asleep and dreaming at the same time if ya know what i mean, like in the dream I was saying to myself....just go to sleep with the cover over my face....and then I would peek and there the creepy man would be...I hardly ever have bad dreams.... shows ya how scared that movie made me....haha
Yesterday I took a vacation day from work...I got up at 7am and by 8:30am I had washed a load of clothes, washed 4 pairs of shoes, done my dishes and made 3 gallons of tea....I know 3 gallons sounds like alot but around here that might last 2 or 3 days if that....Jeff drinks it like it's going outta style...and I like it every now and then too....then I settled on the couch for awhile and watched "Over her dead body"...it was a cute movie.....and watched 1/2 of "Miss Conception" it wasn't worth a crap....I was bored with it....
I had planned on cleaning the house more....and going through some closets but my computer was calling my name...so I decided to play =)
Jeff just got off work at noon, he is going to go over to one of our Lawn Care Customers house and pressure wash his house for him...hopefully he will get home in time later this afternoon so we can go out to eat before the REO Speedwagon concert tonight....it's in another town ...about 45mins to an hour away....depending on road construction....
I don't think I am going to take my camera tonight, when I do I feel like i miss out on so much of the show trying to get good pics...now if it were one of my hotties like Daughtry or Bon Jovi...of course my camera would be in tow....LOL

Florence Henderson(the mom on the Brady Bunch) is coming "home" tonight... Our town...is her hometown where she was born and raised....she is doing a show tonight....downtown. She is 74yrs old now....I loved watching that show growing up....
Gas is down to $2.57....filled up my Expedition last night...still took $60...but only because i was almost running on fumes....haha!
I guess thats all thats goin on in my neck of the woods...

ReplyDelete$2.57 a gallon? Wow, ours is still $2,85. I always have problems with insomnia or have for the past couple of years. I used to sleep like a darned rock.

Good entry. At leat he did not say he shot the light out! LOL. It is miserable to have insomnia. Thank goodness now when it happens we hae at least two books going, we just get up and read. We can sleep in until 10, 11, 12, shoot we don't even have to get up. YOu know I feel like that about cameras at little league games, I miss the good plays because I am trying to get a good shot of the grand kids. Sometimes it is nice to forget the camera. But I know you will enjoy REO (what ever it is, HA!) HAVE A BALL!

I haven't been able to sleep well either, but I think that's due to the fact that my poor hips feel like they're crumbling every time I move around in bed! :( And maybe I'm slightly anxious for this baby to come out already! HAHA.

ReplyDeletei would have been and i never have insomnia. i dont watch anykinda scary movie. the most i can stand is the childrens goosebump shows. my kids love jason and all the zombie and freddy krueger movies, yuck i cant understand why they watch stuff like that.
oh we have something called milo's tea here. i have one made with splenda and i love it. home made tea is too expensive these days with the price of sugar and bottled water.our city water taste terrible. so its easier to just buy a gallon of milo's. we are spolied, all the grocery stores carry several brands of tea !
I feel so behind with the wedding and all.. hope you got your sleep and the concert was the bomb! Hope that party today was good too

I'm late, sorry! How was the concert? I don't watch scary movies. I hate them. I used to love them as a kid, although I'd have nightmares often after them. I just refuse to let that into my head now, I don't get the "thrill" out of being scared anymore and have to say I sleep a lot better!
