Happy Halloween....

Hey everyone...

Hope you are all having a safe and Happy Halloween...

Jeff left this afternoon for his all weekend camping trip with the guys....I thought us girls were bad about taking the whole house with us when we go on a trip...but men are just as bad...he left with 2 huge duffle bags full of stuff....took food galore, tent, chairs, grill, queen size air mattress, wood, beer,pillow,5 gallon water jug...you name it...he took it! Thats just his stuff...4 other guys are bringing all of the same as well....they will have a blast and couldn't have better weather suppose to be in the high 60's and maybe even 70's for the high...and 46-48 for the low... I surprised him and bought an "I miss you" card and wrote him a little letter in it and slipped it in one of the duffle bags...he found it after a couple hours being there and called me and said "Thanks babe, but your just making me miss you more" awwww! He said it was sweet of me.... =) I love my husband! He has called two more times since then, I think he really does miss me...he hasn't been gone but almost 5 hours...lol I told him I wasn't gonna call and bother them....that he could call me when he wanted to..... Absence makes the heart grow fonder....I might just get tons of lovins sunday when he gets home....

I ended up staying home tonight ...with the door closed and lights out....we didn't get one knock on the door....I looked out every now and then....there were some kids out....but not a whole lot.... I hate to be a party pooper on Halloween...but usually Jeff and I leave the house and go somewhere and tonight I didn't feel like doing anything ...I'm tired and so glad the weekend is here....

Tomorrow my Uncle is having a going away weenie roast for my cousin Justin who joined the Navy...he went to basic training.....graduated and has been home for several days....before he leaves for Japan on Wed. Most of the family should be there....have heard there might be karaoke again...so it just may be an exciting time....remember last time?

What a hoot!

Mom called me earlier with some bad news...one of our family members....moms first cousin(who is adopted)...has been diagnosed with lung cancer (terminal) although I have only met her a few times this news makes me sad... her mom and dad just moved back to PA not long ago and her children live there as well.... her dad is my grandads brother...he and his wife aren't in great health....not sure they could make the trip back here...but I know if they can they will if at all possible...

Please keep Dorothy in your thoughts and prayers...

Thank you!

  1. You sound like me! I didnt do anything. I had to work but I am blessed with working form home. I did peek out a few times. I love to see the kiddos. I celebrated by snacking on snickers. LOL

WoW, you hubby sure packed good. :)

  2. That is so sweet about the card. My husband
would put notes under my pillar when he traveled. I would find them different places.
That is Love. I did the same thing about
Halloween closed up. My computer should have
indigestion by now it has eaten so much stuff. I can't figure what has happened to
my post. Oh well S--T happens. My French.

  3. That is so sweet of you to leave him a note in his bag! I'm NEVER that considerate.
When I traveled A LOT, I'd come home and smell MY perfume all over the bed....he'd spray it at night, cause he missed me...and I'd give him a hard time about it. But it was a sweet gesture~
I think most men are LOST without their women!

Sorry to hear about Dorothy. All I can say is cancer sucks the big one.

  4. A weekend camping trip...can I send Doug too? He's driving me nuts already this weekend and it's only Saturday morning. ::sigh::

I'm very sorry to hear about your family member...we got some bad news ourselves. A friend of the family was just diagnosed with stomach/esophageal cancer. It's the same thing that killed my granddad so it brings back a lot of emotional memories.

Hope you enjoy your independent weekend! :)

  11. I read your mom's blog about the cancer. I'll tell you, your family has had its share. I only had about a dozen trick or treaters. Sometimes I feel like just turning the light off also. I'm gonna go read about your weenie roast now. Love ya!
