Last night Jeff and I ventured into town and went out to eat supper at Texas Roadhouse....which is most the time our favorite place to eat...We ordered... Jeff ordered his usual steak and ribs with a loaded baked tater and salad.... well the girl that brought our food out to us was carrying one of those big round trays full of food and sat it on the edge of our table...she brought out my meal and only Jeffs steak and loaded fries instead of a baked potato... we said this must be someone elses because he had the steak and ribs combo with a loaded baked potato... she said well your ribs will be out shortly and I will switch the fries out for a baked potato....we waited....she then came back...sat her big tray on the edge of our table , knocking the peanut bucket into Jeff's drink spilling it all over the table and all over Jeffs jeans...and not with even so much of an "I'm sorry"....she handed him his baked potato on one plate and ribs on another...so that makes 3 plates for a one plate meal....if she had brought his meal out on one plate to start with I have a feeling none of this would have happend.... So Jeff is furious...and she wouldn't even get out of his way so he could go to the restroom to clean up....he came back....his steak is covered in coke and ice...and cold as can be....no one offers to put him another steak on the grill....the waitress cleaned up the mess but never once said sorry...which it wasn't her fault but still.... so we waited for her to come back so Jeff could tell her about his steak....by that time we were almost done eating...and our waitress comes around and Jeff said..could you please take the steak off the bill..she said well I need to go get my manager.... UGH! "Well go get the freakin manager we thought"....so when the manager came out I did all the talking cause Jeff was beyond pissed off....haha He said "So i heard you spilled your drink" to Jeff...I said "No, when the lady brought the food out, she sat her tray of food on the edge of our table and knocked his drink over ...all over his steak and everything"....he said well I will take the steak off of the bill....again without so much as an "I'm Sorry"....Jeffs meal was still $10 and I think the damn thing should have been free given it was their fault!
Anyways rant over...I just had to get that out...I doubt we will be going there for awhile....we spend alot of $ there...and to not even get an I'm sorry out of them....sheesh!!
We came home cause we couldn't go anywhere else with coke all over Jeff.....so we stayed home and watched UFC...the last PPV they were showing for free last night... next weekend is a live free PPV Event. Does anyone watch the Ultimate Fighter(house) on Wed. nights where they compete to become an Ultimate fighter? I can't remember the guys name but he has blonde hair...i've heard he is from Ky. which I am ashamed of, cause he makes a complete ass of himself on the show and needs to be kicked off, I think he just might be kicked off on the new episode on Wed...
We got our REO Speedwagon tickets a week or so ago...I cannot wait to go see them it's going to be a great night out for Jeff and I!
Sorry I haven't been writing much, i've been trying to stay caught up with all of you...that I haven't found the time to even think about writing..haha
I'm not sure I am gonna be able to keep my pretty layout, if it doesn't allow my graphics to be normal size...we'll see....
For those of you that don't know, in the graphic above is my precious spoiled rotten chihuahua named Beau...that was taken a couple years ago or so out by the pool....I sure missed our pool this summer but not all of the upkeep that comes with them....
Hope you've all had a great weekend...hard to believe monday is right around the bend again already, enjoy the day off tomorrow for those of you who have the holiday off....I will be working...blah!

ReplyDeleteI can see Jeff's face just reading this. Sounds like the waitress made herself sound good to the manager and laid all the blame on Jeff. Not much of a manager if that's his reaction to such a situation. That place is too expensive to treat their customers in such a way. Accidents happen but usually the customer at least gets an apology. Too bad the steak wasn't marinated in beer that might have been yummy,lol.

Service sure isn't what it used to be! My husband and I went to our favorite steak house (We don't have the Texas Roadhouse here, the waitress messed up our order and I had to wait for my dinner. I waited about 30 minutes before I finally got mine. Everyone was done eating. There never was an apology for the lack of service and she never came to our table to let me know what was happening, she avoided eye contact and avoided our table if she could. That only made me more upset. No tip that's for sure. I did complain to the manager and was given a $15.00 gift card to return. Not sure I want to use it!

Poor Jeff...sheesh, you'd think they would have bent over backwards to give him a free meal plus... Last time we went to the Roadhouse a few months ago, service sucked, not that bad, but not like it used to be. Love ya,

Wow I can't believe the atrocious service they gave you there. I would have been furious! You should have gotten the server and managers name and called their corporate office. I would have been so angry. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hate that when people spill drinks on you...OMG, poor Jeff!!!! That happened to my daughter once the waitress spilled a pina colada on her...she was so mad we had to take her home. lol And yes we watch Ultimate fighters sometimes, but it makes me nervous for some reason. ReplyDeleteIt is amazing to me how some businesses have changed in practice. I have seen something like this in the past two years at our table, where slaw was dumped on a friend and his 'stuff'. It was cleaned up and there was an apology BUT I fully expected a manager to comeout, apologize and say the meal is on the house! That is the way businesses were built in the past, on word of mouth compliments of problems.
You may never see it, but unless the management changes drastically they will see it in their 'Gross'. They missed a chance to insure your return with maybe a BIG party.
I have always tried to instill that into my son as he went into business. KEEP THE CUSTOMER HAPPY, they make any business. Good entry. Jack
