What a night...

Today I am sad...

   Today I am thankful...

        Today I am blessed...

Last night we went to bed as normal...with our regular..goodnights and I love you's being said with not another thought ~ only to be awaken at 2am..by tornado sirens..liked to have scared me shitless...I knew there were chances for rain...and also knew that it had been unusually warm for this time of year...but never thought twice about a possible tornado...that is until Jeff shook me awake to the dreadful sirens goin off...I was up and outta bed in no time flat...my heart was racing...i said..turn on the tv..see what it's sayin..the satellite was out...UGH...i said ok let's turn on the radio...sure enough it said it was heading our way...they were seeing rotations over my town..but thankfully they never formed into an actual tornado ~ but some in Newburgh,Indiana...about 15 miles from me...didn't escape from harm..some have lost their homes, their lives..and loves ones..in this horrible tragedy.

~My thoughts and prayers go out 2 them~

Read about it here:

AOL News - Tornado Kills at Least 22 in Indiana and Kentucky

My thought for today...

Live as though today is your last..for tomorrow is never promised

                        Hugss..

  1. As intrigued as I am by tornadoes, I would not want to be threatened by one.

Someone is watching over Terri's town :)

    And you are welcome :)

  2. I immediately thought of you when I saw the news today. But I didn't hear anything about your town. So I figured you would post news of it. I have been watching my alerts for your post.

I am so glad you are safe! We got some really bad winds from the storm, but just a tiny bit of rain. There are no leaves left on the trees. It really looks like winter now. I just wish the temps would stop feeling like summer!

Happy to hear good news from you!

  3. Yeah, we had tornadoes in Evansville, but luckily for us, they stayed far enough south.

Unfortunately, as you said, not everyone was so lucky... and my thoughts and sympathies are with them.

Love the tag!  Nae is so awesome....

Glad you guys made it through the storm, too :)

  6. I heard about this on the news when I woke up. You were so close, very scary. I am thankful you weren't harmed and saddened for those that have lost their homes and lives. My heart goes out to the families of those that were lost, and too the people who lost their homes. They are in my thoughts and prayers. You too, please stay safe!

  8. I live in Lafayette, Indiana and we got the sirens and the heavy wind, lighting, and thunder which has never been so loud and bright in all my life. I was so scared. I have been watching the news to see who got hit. I haven't been able to hear the names of any cities. My prayers are with them nevertheless.
