Thank you...

Thank you to everyone who left Congrats, good wishes etc...for Justin...it means alot to him and to our family.... We are very proud of him!

Thank you also to everyone who left a kind word and or offering up prayers for Dorothy...our family member diagnosed with terminal lung cancer...

I know mom has already written about this bit of good news...but for my readers who don't read my moms journal..I wanted to add it here as well.... Our family member "C" whom i've mentioned in past entries...the one who was diagnosed with CML Leukemia....is already in remission!!! It all happend so quickly....I won't go into alot of detail out of respect for their privacy....but the experimental drug they were using worked extremely well.... Prayers were answered and "C" is doing well.....Thank you for all of the prayers

Our time changed this weekend(fall back an hour)...I hate this time change...it gets dark around 5pm....and by 7 I think it is time for bed....cause it's so dark out and makes me sleepy....last night I went to bed at 6:30pm and slept through the night....I think i was just exhausted though from running around all weekend...but getting dark early doesn't help....

I started my diet and exercise routine again today...last year I was on one between November and March...and did so well....I lost 17 pounds.....but somehow....managed to get sidetracked and fell of the wagon....and stopped the exercising and dieting all together.... and I was so proud of my accomplishments.....

I HAVE to do this....I want to look better and more than anything feel better....I always felt so much better when I was walking....

I walked a mile today on the treadmill....it about killed me cause I am so out of shape and not use to walking anymore....but i did it....LOL

I kept the speed on 3.2 and finished a mile in just under 20 minutes

Hopefully you guys can be my cheerleaders...on this weightloss journey

Get those pom-poms out =)

Have a good week everyone....Until next time

*Thanks to Jenny for my cute graphic

  1. I am so sorry to hear about Dorothy I will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.

You can do it. I know it's hard to stick to a diet but it sounds like your ready to go for it.
Good luck, I'll be rooting for you!

Good news about "C", how wonderful!!!

  2. I'll help you with the weight loss journey. We can support each other.

I've been doing this a year in January. I'm hoping to have lost all the weight I want to by Christmas 2009. So far, I've dropped 77.5 pounds.

    It's a long, arduous road, isn't it?

    Wonderful news about 'C.' :)

  3. Hey before I get started, Wish my shipmate fair winds and following seas! Keep the pointy end toward excitement!
Now the walking is great. The speed is good, walking and thinking is good for you and the old brain! Walking is our passion now. My girl is the one who pushed me 1850 miles over mountains and through the woods. You girls can be dedicated beings when you set your heads, so keep it up. Yeah! we are behind you!

  6. I wish you had not brought up the treadmill.
I get a guilt trip everytime I pass mine. The
way I exercise I move it from room to room.
Right now it is a perfect place to hang my sweaters. They look good hanging there.
    My prayers are with Dorothy.

  7. That's wonderful news about C! I'm happy for all of you to hear this.

Good luck with your diet/fitness venture. I need to take a page from that book, myself, but it's so hard...started a diet three times in the last three days, and fell off the wagon every night. :-(

  10. Wow, somehow I missed your mom's entry about the leukemia being in remission. That's great news! hmm...wonder why my dashboard didn't show it. Oh well, just keep on with the exercise. It took me two months of solid walking to lose 10 lbs. I was ready to give up. Hang in there...love ya!
