In loving memory of Jeff's dad ...Tyler who passed away 21 years ago today.... Jeff was only 23 when his dad passed away.
I met Jeff two years later....and we started dating... I really wish I would have had a chance to meet my father-in-law.... I see so much of him in Jeff...through pictures....Jeff misses him dearly and speaks of him often....I almost feel as if I did know him...
When I got off work my MIL called me...and asked if I would like to go out to eat tonight at Cheddars with her and my SIL's...I said of course.... I know she probably needed the comfort of her girls (her daughter and daughter-in-laws) on a day like today....
A coworker and friend of Jeff's asked him to go out to eat tonight to Texas Roadhouse....I was glad of that...as he really needs a friend today...of all days....
We all had a wonderful time on our guys/girls night out...sometimes we just need that... ya know?

I didn't get to meet my husbands dad either yet, I feel I know him and I know I would've loved him like a dad.

ReplyDeleteToday is the day my mother passed away 25 years ago....no you never forget...and my father passed away 11 years ago on Jan 8th.
