Hey everyone!
The concert was great last night...i forgot all about Firefall singing "Just remember I love you"...and "That's a strange way to tell me you love me"....I love those songs...when they sang "You are the woman"...I was singin my lil heart out..lol This couple sitting across the table from us, the man had me dyin laughing all night...cause he was singing his lil' heart out too...and loud... the place was packed too...Jeff really enjoyed it too. POCO was good...but not as good as Firefall...My fav. song that POCO sang was Crazy Love...but the lead singer of POCO had to be at least 65...so they did really well for their age...not that 65 is old =)~
I talked to my cousin Sandra this morning...she was released from the hospital on Thursday....and she and her mom and when he can her dad has been driving up there every day the hospital where Conner was born is an hour and a half away... Sandra seems to be doing really well...she sounded pretty upbeat...she got to hold him for the first time yesterday..for 20-30mins ..then they had to take him to feed him..... The other day she had told me he had lost a little weight but the nurses told her that is normal with all babies after they are first born...I think he went from 3lbs 12 and 1/2 oz...to 3lbs 3oz....now he is back up to 3lbs 7oz.
She said they told her next week they can start trying to bottle feed him.... =)
Thanks for the ongoing prayers...they are much needed and appreciated.
Today was Christmas with my whole family at my grandads... We took cocktail weinies in BBQ sauce...and 8 (2 liters)....the cocktail weinies went fast...along with that we had meatballs, sausage balls, Ham Ball, Cheese Ball, 2 vegetable trays, ham and turkey on hawaiian bread, 2 potato casseroles (our families fav)...cheese dip and tortilla chips, BBQ chicken, potato salad, ham rolls, cheese tray...i'm sure i have forgot something...
Then for desserts we had.. coconut cake, german chocolate cake, 2 strawberry pies, peanut butter fudge, peanut butter balls, peanut clusters, butterscotch fudge...etc...
Needless to say i am stuffed and ready for bed...I've been runnin so much i don't even feel like i've had a weekend .
1 party down 4 to go...and tired already..lol

All I can say is yummy - I just ate dinner but now am starving again!!! I'm glad you had fun at the concert last night - how cute about your table mate. I am also happy to hear that Conner is holding his own - I'm glad your cousin is so upbeat - do they have any idea on when he'll be released from the hospital? I'm sure it must be tough to have left the baby. I'll keep Conner and Sandra in my prayers of course. Pace yourself - you have alot more food to go!! Have a good week - Leene

Oh man, you are making me HUNGRY!!!!!! Glad you enjoyed the concert. I didn't realize Firefall sang those songs either. They were always on the radio in the 70's! When Bethany was born she lost weight too, all preemies do. Glad that Connor is gaining the weight back already!! I will keep sending prayers his way!

ReplyDeleteI am praying for little Conner. He will do just fine. My Megan was 3 lbs. 4 ounces and now she is 17! I can't believe that they have to drive so far to see him. She must be so tired! But I know she wants to be with him.
I am looking at the menu for your family party and thinking I might make some of those things for New Years Eve for my family.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a big family feast. That is so great that you all can get together during the holidays and enjoy each others company. We use to do that years ago, but since my grandparents died my family has been dwendling.
Gosh, Connor sounds so tiny. The pictures of him are just precious though. Will be continuing my prayers for him.
