Merry Christmas!

Judy and Grandma,

As i sit here today I am sad, sad because I can't have you all here with me on this Christmas Eve...selfish some would think...if thats the case i am guilty..cause not a day goes by that i am not needing....wanting...to feel the warmth of your embrace in a hug...I long for that some days... Always knowing ya'll were here for me...anytime i needed you...whether it be me telling you good news about something going on in my life....or just needing someone to confide in....needing advice...or a shoulder to cry on.

     Ya'll were ALWAYS there!

I have and am still trying to keep the Christmas Spirit within me, cause i know ya'll wouldn't want it any other way....but it is soooooo hard.

I just miss you so very much!!!!!!!

For the last 14yrs...on this very day...Jeff and I would come over to your house Judy....and you always said that was our tradition...you always wanted Jeff to cut the ham...cause it was "tradition" he would get a kick out of that...lol  While ya'll were away at church we would be sneaky and set out all the presents ...and then when ya'll got home...we would magically re-appear at your house...as if we were never there...=)

Ya'll shared the joy of christmas with us by letting us be there to watch Chelsey open her gifts year after year....and we loved it!

Thank God for those memories....pictures and videos...so i can look back on those happier times in life.... I hope you know how much all those Christmas Eves at your house meant to Jeff and I... it will never be the same.  Tonight...Jeff and I will go to moms..and start our new "tradition"...I am glad we have this night filled with spending time with family..cause i don't think we could bare to spend it alone at home...

So tonight we will celebrate Christmas with mom and Gary...and all the grandkids and my stepsis and stepbro...and tonight I will celebrate the memories we lived out together in my heart....for you will always be in my heart!!!

I love you Judy and Grandma...I hope you two have the best christmas ever in Heaven!

  1. It's hard, I know, but you'll get through this. You'll find, as I did, when I lost both of my parents, that they never really left, only in the physical sense. Every Christmas eve, honey, I sit on my sofa and sip hot chocolate, while taking a memory walk. I walk slowly, visiting every place I ever went with them, said to them, or them to me, and all the *lessons* they taught me. Knowing i will see them again eases the pain. The Lord will carry you when you're too tired too walk, and will hear your heart, when you're too tired --hurting to much to pray.
Big hugs, and love and prayers too.

  2. Terri, an angel named Judy is forever locked in your heart, and she is smiling down on you. Always remember that. Her love for you is there with you, each and everyday, in the memoreies you hold so dear. Smile for her, for she is watching.

  6. Awww Terri.. that was such a beautifully written, heartfelt sentiment about your grandma and especially your Aunt Judy.  I know how much you miss her, and how hard this Christmas is going to be for all of you.  Just remember that, like you said.. she is gone but not forgotten.  She will be there, with all of you.. living within your hearts...

God Bless, sweetie.. and have a Wonderful Christmas!

    Hugs

  7. Girl, they are with you in spirit and looking down from Heaven on all of you as you gather to celebrate Christmas.  Such a beautiful tag and tribute.  Keep a smile on face even with a tear in your eye.  Love you, Chris

  8. We miss the ones we have lost everyday, but this time of year when we celebrate tradition and gather as a family, it cuts right through the heart not having them there. My grandmother told me before she passed one of the best ways to honor her would be to keep those traditions alive and create new ones as new members join the family. You have so much to celebrate, and I hope while you celebrated with your family, you felt the presense of those you have lost, giving you tight Christmas hugs. They are there... oh they are!
Merry Christmas Terri. You are so special to me.
    Hugs and Love,
    Jenny

  9. I'm sorry you're missing your Aunt & Grandma.  But as your caption on the photo says, the will be Forever in your hearts. We all have family not with us today, yesterday and tomorrow.  But thanks to the "reason for the seaon", we will all be together again someday.  :)  I hope you are able to keep the joy of the season alive and start new traditions to carry on for your family.  For baby Conner.  It's the circle of life and you are such a wonderful caring girl that your angels are smiling down on you.  I hope your Christmas was a wonderful & blessed one. I've read all your entries I'm behind on.  Hope the baby comes home very soon.
    Love ya...Happy New Year!!
