Grand Ole Opry ...Montgomery Gentry being inducted

Last tuesday night ...was my trip to the Grand Ole Opry with my coworker to see Montgomery Gentry get inducted...it was awesome!

We arrived in Nashville around 5:50pm...the show didn't start till 7pm...so my coworker had been ranting and raving about how awesome Dave & Busters was...and how Jeff and I should go sometime...I wanted to see what all the fuss was about...so we went there... it is great! I know what Chris was talking about now....it's a sports bar ...it has huge tv screens everwhere in the place, a huge game room for family fun...and even it's own bowling alley....the food and service is wonderful too and the price is really reasonable. I wish we had one here! I told Jeff we need to have a little weekend getaway to Nashville in the fall when the Lawn Care Business slows down and make a weekend of shopping, Grand Ole Opry, Dave & Busters and all the fun things Nashville has to offer.... I love it there! So we ate and were ready to head to the show....

Chris had won our tickets on the radio so he had to pick them up there at the Grand Ole Opry.....it was so neat...everyone seemed really friendly! We got to our seats just a few minutes before the show began....

His fiance' called him on our way down and told him to have a good time and that he could buy by dinner even, which was sweet....but I had already told him for giving me the ticket since his fiance' had to work...I would be buying his meal....in Thanks cause I soooo appreciated it!

Jeff called on our way to Nashville and told us to be careful and have a great time.... I am blessed to have a husband that doesn't mind if I have fun with friends from time to time...especially being understanding of having friends of the opposite sex.... Chris is like a little brother to me....we argue like brother/sister anyways...haha!

Anyways so where was I? So at 7pm the show began....Montgomery Gentry opened the show...they took the stage 2 or 3 times to perform it was great...they sang My Town, Something to be Proud of, Hillbilly Shoes and others....I really enjoyed myself...I think everyone there did...

Marty Stuart. Darryl Worley, Connie Smith, Del McCoury Band, and Jimmy Newman were all there as well.....

Darryl Worley sang my favorite song of his "I miss my friend"....I LOVE that song...he sounded great....I was so happy he sang that one!

I enjoyed some of Marty Stuarts as well...never been a huge fan...but I enjoyed him.... his dancing cracks me up...

Del McCoury Band...reminded me alot of the movie O' Brother where art thou....I really enjoyed them.... They were going to be in my town along with Marty Stuart the very next night....my town is really big on Bluegrass music....

I can't wait to watch MG inducted on GAC or CMT....it will be so awesome to relive it and know I was there in person!

Everything is going well with me, I go back to work tomorrow... I have taken no pain meds today...and I have done fine... I still have some though if I need them.... my gums are still tender, but healing well....

Thanks to all of you who have left such kind, uplifting and encouraging comments and emails regarding my Oral Surgery....

Have a good week everyone!

P.S. For some reason blogger won't let me pick my own size text...I choose large but blogger does what it wants to and picks the small text, John I know you had the same problem...do you or anyone else know how to fix it?

have known you and your mother a long time.

the storms and keep on going. I admire that
in you both. I also had a very happy marriage

Life go on and you have to adjust to an entirely
