Top 10 Concerts I have been to:
(Got this idea from Gwen, so i thought i would play along)
1. Hank Williams Jr/ Restless Heart ~ This was in 1989 i believe, my very first concert...I wasn't impressed with Hank he was too drunk to even sing the words correctly...but Restless Heart was great!
2. Charlie Daniels Band ~ awesome!
3. Sammy Kershaw ~ Me and 2 of my best friends who are twins went to see him for our birthdays(all in august)...we had a good time but our seats weren't the best ~ on the way out after the concert ~ one of the Road Crew dudes was asking us how we liked the show ~ I said it was great...but would be even better if we got free tickets to see the 2nd show...he said i think i can arrange that and even give you front row seats ~ well he did....and said we would even get to meet Sammy on the Tour Bus afterwards...kewl kewl we thought...we enjoyed the 2nd show ~ come to find out ol' Sammy just wanted a piece...One of my friends had went on the bus first...and he got turned down...and me and my other friend said screw this ~ and we all left...and the Road crew guy went lookin for other women...UGH!
4. Bryan White ~ awesome concert..I got to shake his hand....i was weak in the knees after that...lol...crazy i know! hehehe
5. Wade Hayes ~ I've seen him 3 times...I went to school with his fiddle player Randy Lanham ~ good concert!
6. Night Ranger ~ OMG...did i have fun at this concert ~ our seats were shitty..but at the beginning of the concert they opened up a dance floor right in front of the stage..and were letting people walk right up there...so me and my uncle and his g/f...hauled ass up front...and had a absolute blast ~ they rocked! I will have to find my pics and post them sometime.
7. Collin Raye ~ We've seen him twice...one of my most favorite concerts...he almost sounds better live than on the actual cd's...he is wonderful! I love his music =)
8. Creed/Default/12 Stones ~ My favorite concert to date...Creed was AWESOME! I almost cried when i heard Scott Stapp left the band...I loved their music...and in concert was amazing!
9. Kenny Chesney/ Montgomery Gentry ~ another one of my favorite concerts...they both were awesome....Kellie Coffey was in concert with them also. I had seen Montgomery Gentry before at the video shoot for their song "My Town" at Triangle Park in Lexington...they were letting whoever wanted to be in the video shoot free of charge...it was AWESOME! U can't see me in the video but u can see the chic that was standing in front of me...it was an awesome experience...after the video shoot...they played us a few songs...even a couple new ones never before heard....it was so kewl!
10. Andy Griggs ~ Me and one of my best friends Pam...and her hubby went to see him last year ~ It was her bday present from me =) He was great in concert...just wish he would finish the whole songs ...instead of finishing some and bits and pieces of others...i want to hear it ALL Andy...hehe He was great though...because he stayed afterwards for pictures and autographs....great guy!
11. Nickelback/Trapt/Chevelle ~ Last sunday night....it was awesome!!!! Great time...had a few drinks and made it even merrier...hahaha I knew Nickelback would be great....but i was really impressed with Trapt!
Oh my bad....I added one more than i was suppose to, get me talkin bout music and i could go on and on....Play along if you like.... =)
Our tickets to see Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in their Soul2Soul Tour came in yesterday...woowhoooooo We only have 4 more months to wait...haha C'mon July...I am ready to PARTY!!!!!!

The concerts I went to were all way long ago. I did see the Rolling Stones way before they were high priced..lol Kenny Chesney...too cute. I'd like him in my side bar but haven't seen any tubes for him. I had one for Trace but lost it a while ago. Gotta love Chris...he's hot and rolling on his way. I would love to see Tim and Faith, lucky you! HUGS Chris

I used to go to the county music concerts and saw a lot of the stars but that was many years ago. Most of the older ones are not singing any more. I haven't kept up with any of the current stars. Helen

ReplyDeleteI have bene to 2 concerts that had singers that most people know of or remember...BAY CITY ROLLERS ( SHOWING MY AGE!) and the BEACH BOYS...most concerts I go to are school concerts of small concerts that have friends in them

ReplyDeleteI had tickets to see Hank Jr in 1989 also. It was at Rupp Arena. I ended up getting grounded and didn't get to go. My friend went and she said there was so much pot being smoked in there that she got high from it! She ended up not getting to see the entire concert also. She clapped her hands so hard when Hank came out that she bent a ring on her finger. Her finger started swelling up so bad that she had to go to the paramedics to have it cut off (the ring, not her finger LOL)... She swore I had put a curse on her not to enjoy it since I couldn't go. :o)

Wow thats a lot of concerts. I have only been to one. It was Rascal Flattes before they were real big and they were playing ata bar. LOL It was still good. I got to meet them and have my picture taken with them. Nicki
